“I discovered 3D printing at an exhibition, and came home having fallen in love with the process,” says Ray. “I built an FDM machine in kit form to properly understand the process, and have subsequently built and sold many others. Now, with three machines at Rapit, I make 3D parts for individuals and the trade, and as far as I know I am the only 3D printer offering parts in Chelmsford.”
Ray also lectures in 3D printing, and has written a book on the subject: ‘3D printing – What is it?’ which you can find on Amazon.
